Last few weeks

As the semester comes to an end I am getting overwhelmed with all the projects and tests given by all the teachers. I had the efolio, notebook for outdoor pursuits all of Dr. Nichols projects and a test in every class. I just hate that we get all this work at the end of the semester.

Joe Borowski

Joe Borowski is the worst closer in baseball. He led the American leauge last year in saves but he also led the leauge in blown saves. He has had four 5 save oportunites and he has blown three. He is to old and can not throw a baseball over 86 mph. Cleveland needs to start getting Kobioshi involved in the closer spot.

Weather

The weather is starting to get back to being nice agian. However, I have been having class and not being able to go outside and enjoy it. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I will be able to be outside tomorrow and for the weekend to enjoy it.

Camping Trip

Our camping trip that was supposed to take place last weekend did not. I woke up early to go buy food for the trip made it on time to go on te busses at 9:00 am. However, our teacher did not schedual any of the busses so we couldnt get to Minister Valley. I was up set at first because I spent money and was kind of enthused to stay over night in the wilderness. So we hiked around Slippery Rock University. We went to the high ropes coarse and did all that fun stuff and after that we went home.

MLB starts tonight.

The Boston Red Sox start the 2008 baseball season playing the Oakland A's tonight in Japan. I will probably watch the game. However, I really have no preferance on who wins. I am a huge Cleveland Indians fan so I would like the A's to win because Boston beat Cleveland in the playoffs last year. I have Kevin Youk on my fantasy team so lets hope he can do something tonight.

Back Packing Trip

This coming up Saturday my outdoor pursuits class will be going on a back packing trip. We will be going to Minister Valley, it is a fairly large hiking trial near Warren. I am not to excited about this trip. It is going to be cold and i really dont feel like sleeping in a tent and eating garbage for the whole day. However, it should be fun to get to know my classmates more and do something rather than the traditional sports that I play.

Spring Break

My spring break was pretty laid back. I spent alot of the time in the car. I started out going to Toronto with my girl friend. That was fun we stayed at the Delta Chelsea, went out down town and saw the Fray play. After that weekend I came home and was bored as ever. So I decided to drive down to Pittsburgh to see some of my friends from school. I stay in Pitt for about 3 days then went back to New York. My mother was in Sweden for work and my dad was in Vermont skiing with the ski club. So I decided to have some freinds over. After all of this I came back to Slippery Rock to finish out my spring semester.

Roxy

Roxy is my pug. She is the best, I love her. My sister got her when I was a junior in high school. I have no clue why she named her Roxy but it has caught on. She loves to be outide and run, I also have another dog Reighly she is an Irish Setter. They will go out side and play for hours. Roxy is not a typical pug. She is not skinny but not fat like normal pugs. My mom and sister take very good care of her. I like her a lot, and can't wait to see her tonight when I come home for spring break

The Tribe

After this 2008 baseball season the Cleveland Indians are going to have to make a bunch of decisions. There will be three players on the team in which thier contact ends. C.C. Sabathia, Travis Hafner and Casey Blake. I really want all of these three players to come back and play in the 2009 season. However, this is very unrealistic due to the fact that the Cleveland Indians are on the lower half of one of the poorest franchises in Major League Baseball. I think the Indians are going to bring Travis Hafner back becaus he has been a franchise player in most of his season as an Indian. This will make them have to make a big decision on C.C. Sabathia. They are both going to be getting multi-million dollar deals. Which one will they keep?

I-TV

I am thinking about getting the new I-TV. It is a device that holds up to 160 GB of songs, movie or pictures and converts them onto your TV. This would be nice becuase I-tunes alows you to rent movies now. In addition, I can take my roommates music and mine and put all of it onto the I-TV and share the music. It is a little expensive but I believe it would be worth it.

DA's

This past weekend my girlfriend came down to Slippery Rock from New York. She stayed in my room all weekend. However, the desk attendances were being difficult the whole time. I would leave to park her car with her and come back and they would make me sign her in agian. I know it is their jobs but it really made me irritaded that I would have to continue to sign her in every freaking time. So if your a desk attendant please get off your power trip and relax.

Ski Club

Last Saturday Slippery Rock University had its first ski club trip of the year. My friend Eric told me about the ski club on friday night. We take a "happy bus", to Holiday Valley, New York. For a eight hour lift pass it cost fourty three dollars. This is a good deal because it is paying for transportation and a cheaper pass. The regular price for a lift pass is fifty five dollars. The conditions were great, it was the most fun I have had skiing all winter. Next trip is this coming up Sunday if anyone wants to go!

Video Camera

So my friends and I are going to Holiday Valley this Saturday to go skiing and boarding. We do tricks and think were cool so we like to video tape them. This whole week I have been on a search for a video camera and I cannot find one. In addition, it would be nice to knock out my video presentation for Technology PETE. (on skiing) So if anyone knows where I can get one without buying one let me know. :)

Flu

It seems like everyone I come in contact with in the past couple of days have had some flu like symptoms. I have had it for awhile now it is so frustrating and annoying. I just want the cold and symptoms to go away. However, the more people I talk to they have some sort of cold too. So something needs to be done to get the students better at Slippery Rock.

"Cell Phone Charger"

So I recently just got a new cell phone, the Palm Treo. The phone is amazing I love how it works, I can go on the internet, talk on it, text and take pictures. I have had this phone for about 2 months now. However, I have broken about 5 chargers for it. The chargers are so bad and break very eaisly. I have ended up getting this special AC adaptor to plug into the outlet in my wall that hooks up my car charger to it. So for its working, kets cross our fingers.

Bryon Rockow

My name is Bryon Rockow and I am 19 years old. I live with my mom dad and sister in Brockport New York. I enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the winter. I was a three sport athlete in high school they were football, basketball and baseball. I was the best at baseball making all county all three years of varsity. Now I attend Slippery Rock University, majoring in physical education. I have two dogs a pug and an irish setter. I love mexican food and hate seafood. I have a girl friend that is a year younger than me. She is a dancer attending New York University.
